Dancehall artist Harris Mthipela of ‘Dolo Wamuhood’ fame set to release a mix tape

Youthful and promising Malawian up-coming dancehall music artist ‘Ababa Surgeant’ real name Harris Mthipela has started working on his mission of releasing a 10-track mix tape which is expected to be out before December this year.

The 22—year— old Chilobwe based multi-talented singer joined music in 2012 and started making a name in music circle from 2014 when he proved to be one the best dancehall star in 2016 when he won The Power 101’s ‘Dolo Wamuhood’ best dancehall artist category.

Ababa Surgeant’s name continued attracting many music lovers after releasing his three hot singles, ‘Ma Hope’, ‘Missing’ featuring Genius Pepe and ‘Zake Phe’ which he featured Sir Patricks.

Both songs are enjoying massive air play and they are amongest the best top 5 songs in many local TV and radio music charts.

In an interview with Nyasa Times,  Ababa Surgeant said he is currently planning to come up with a mixtape which will be a mixture of old and new singles released between 2016-2017.

“I have decided to start with a mixtape so that I should give something to my fans as they will be waiting for my full album which am planning to release by next year. I can not give exact date where the mixtape will be out but should expect it this year. Currently I have recorded few songs but I will finish everything very soon,” said Ababa Surgeant .

He also revealed that his songs will be recorded at D and T Records by Stitch Fray, Audience Records of Gaffar, Red Disk Music and Thunder Records.
