DCs and CEOs ordered to re-submit their CVs to their parent ministry
In what could be loosely interpreted as rubble clearing, the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has ordered all District Commissioners (DCs) and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of city and municipal councils to re-submit their curriculum vitae (CVs) for updating.
The ministry’s Principal Secretary (PS) Richard Hara, in a brief memo dated December 23, 2021, gave the DCs and CEOs up to yesterday, December 24, 2021, to send in their CVs.
“I therefore request you to send your CVs to Chrissie Kamuyambeni by 24th December, 2021, via email [email protected] and Richard Hara at [email protected],” says Hara in his memo to the concerned DCs and CEOs.
However, the PS does not specify the action the ministry would take on DCs and CEOs who may have failed to comply with the order.
Why DC and CEOs. Havent they suffer enough? Please leave these professionals alone.
Those DCs and CEOs with wrong qualifications will be redeployed to correct Mini and Dept. Medical doctors to hospitals and DHOs etc etc
Chala cobadwa 1981.so sad. CEO kitumiza CV. to a personal email eish.
Yolemba pa manja ndithu
We are a joke of a nation for sure, Government business or protocols running on gmail accounts. Why not the .gov.mw something like that
This is very shameful for big people like PS to use generic email addresses for official communication. Where is the department of E-Government? Is it in slumber kodi? Wake up PS for E-Government. Look into the issue of all Ministries, Departments and Agencies to start using official email addresses for their respective domains so that they are easily identified globally.
Ndi pomwe pagona corruption po.
Afuna azikaonera ndi ana, azikazao kunyumba azikwathandizila .
Ma PS osazitsata za internet omwe mwa password amalhala ndi ma secretary ao kaamba Io sadziwa zinthuzi.
Analibe opanda ma pepala a school Koma azacibale, .mpaka personal email contacts for official communication.
Kufuna kusazitsa zinthu zina.
Most are just lazy crooks.
Kumakhala email za department osati za personal abale inu tisiye umbuli. Ndi ncito ya u maid wa nnyumba yako!! Nde zitiso zimenezi khaya.
Bwanji mukubwezweresa ziko mu mbuyo.
No wonder ma DC woso ndi mbola kale
Using personal email siumbuli iwe.
I totally agree with Dausee on the use of personal emails to communicate with the DCs. This is unprofessional at its best. It is very surprising, you mean they dont have their Cvs, okay, why not just ask those who feel their CVs have changed to do so. It looks its a very urgent exercise, why in such a hurry and giving them such a short notice. Who should update what? This is bizarre and nonsense.
Official correspondence to individual email address? Sounds fishy. Government has official departmental email addresses and for all I know has (gov) as part of the address. Unless the system got diluted as usual.
Why not using official email address. Because using personal address is not healthy. Let us say today all CVs are sent and by the end of the day something terrible happens to the owner of the address how is the matter going to be dealt. Remember what happened to Hilary Clinton. We need to be learning to what happened else where, we are leaving in a Global village. Am not saying that something bad should happen to the recipient but we need to look also in that angle
1. Why use personal emails? It means institutional emails are not reliable.
2. Or is this part of reforms or trying to recruit people from central region so they can mismanage elections.
3. If it is reforms why not release the report and implementation plan with clear process indicators so we know where we are headed.
4. DCs should come from their district full stop.
