After guiding Dedza Young Soccer to the historical top flights TNM Super League promotion, Coach Jegwe Milias Pofera has resigned on health grounds.
The coach is reportedly to have been diagonized with High Blood Pressure [BP].
But other unofficial reports indicate that Pofera has decided to throw in the towel amid disagreements that have erupted at the club between players and officials.
Club General Secretary Panganani Ndovie confirmed that the coach has indeed left the club on health grounds.
He said club officials tried to reason with him to stay through a meeting held few days ago but he could not reverse his decision.
Ndovi revealed that the team had already started hunting for a new coach who is set to start drilling the team today [Tuesday].
“We have been discussing with Abbas Makawa who will be with us starting from today [Tuesday]” said Ndovie.
Makawa was fired at Epac F.C before joining Kamuzu Barracks as Assistant Coach and later moved on to join Karonga United as Head Coach.
Meanwhile, Dedza Young Soccer General Secretary has denied reports that there are wrangles at the club that have forced their coach to quit.
Dedza Young Soccer were crowned champions of the Chipiku Central Region Football Association League last month.
