Blantyre based Afro-street band, Dikamawoko, will on Saturday host a show in support of Muhanya’s new single Tisangalale which was released recently.
Blessings Hiwa who is Project and Event Coordinator for Dikamawoko said Muhanya is their band member and this is his first single after releasing his first album with Tadja titled Nthano Zathu in 2012 which comprised afro acoustic songs.
He said the single was produced by Ireland based Alan Darcy who is a sound engineer in theaters and plays rock and roll.
“The centre message in the song is happiness, the melodies and rhythm captures the listener, giving them an uncontrollable sensation to just let loose and be free in the moment,” he said.
According to Hiwa, Muhanya who is a singer and guitarist started performing in 2010 and he won two awards; the Music Crossroads Southern Africa in 2012 and the Chibuku Road to Southern Chapter in 2014.
