DJ’s mar Mlaka Dublin show

What started as a worrisome night on Friday 10 October 2014, ended up as a memorable night that will live in the minds of many Malawians living in Dublin, Ireland.‘Mlaka ndi Mlaka’ and he just proved that with a thrilling performance.

He performed in Dublin  alongside Macko Sadik and Ireland based Pop Dogg, though with some glitches in the way the DJ’s and their sound  handed the night.

Mlaka, who was introduced and ushered to the stage by his fellow artist Macko Sadik,  gave out a spectacular and energetic performance and as he dished out his best songs from his very first album up to his new releases.

The song that set the night going was Dzanja Lalemba which made every patron on the night to get on to the dance floor . Mlaka went on through his treasured catalogue of classics such as Kamandidutsadutsa, Gologolo Pa Mtengo,Usakayiwale ,Njododa,Ndipite Kwina and a lot more.

As the night went on, it was the time for the dreadlocked Macko Sadik to take over.

Sadik who is well know with hits such as Linda,Kumadziore wooed the fans especially the ladies, who kept on singing along to his classic song Linda.

The sound system kept on stopping in between songs as the artists were performing. The DJ’s who were using laptops seemed not competent enough and the sound quality was poor.

At one point during Mlaka and  Sadik performance, the sound system stopped. Mlaka appeared not amused, but he carried on as a professional performer and cheered the patrons.

On several occasions the music was overlapped by other songs that were not meant for these artists’ respective performances.

Though with the terrible sound system and DJ’s, Pop Dogg winded up the show his single iPhone and a number of tracks from his album Enter the Ninja.

It was a night filled with fun and a lot of Malawians who came out in large numbers from all the counties of Ireland, such as Galway, Cock, Waterford and also some familiar faces from England.

The night out just proved how thirsty Malawians in diaspora are,for their own artists and other entertainers’ live performances.

I was there and I saw Mlaka singing while drunk. I went to the show hoping it was going to be a gospel one but I was really disappointed with the way Mlaka behaved. The guy is a liar. He still needs to be delivered. He showed all traits of a disbeliever and I regret of attending his show. I want him to give back my 10 euro I paid at the dow. He could not perform propery because he was completely drunk. Every person who went to the show he or she is not happy with Mlaka. The show… Read more »

That is good news to the Nation than the Kamowa and Ellen prostitutes stories here back home. Mlaka has done the nation proud and made those ALI MTHENGO TO FILL AT HOME ATLEAST.
As for Kamowa and Ellen, the devil is with you both and you will end very tragically bad as married people. you are a disgrace to your families and to your relatives at large. Kuntchito mupitako bwanji with this kind of humility that has engulfed you and your families? Unless you are both fools which is of course true that you are as good as dogs.
