DPP SG brags cadets slapped MCP MP: ‘Nkhata provoked the situation by sloganeering Kwacha at DPP event’

Secretary General of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Greizedar Jeffrey has bragged that her party’s notorious youth cadets roughed up opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) legislator Amon Nkhata in Kasungu.

Jeff wa Jeff: DPP secretary general says MCP MP was slapped by DPP cadets

According to the DPP secretary general, MP Nkhata was slapped at Tunthuwala in Traditional Authority Kawamba in Kasungu West Constituency after he turned up when she was presenting a donation from President Peter Mutharika to a family that has asked him for financial help to buy goats.

“Honourable Nkhata provoked the situation. He appeared  where I was addressing DPP members who were clad in party regalia. He stopped and started saying Kwacha! Kwacha!,” said Jeffrey.

Kwacha is a slogan of MCP.

“Nkhata provoked our members. Fortunately for him there were only two DPP youth cadets and the rest were women. So the two pumped sense in him by slapping him,” said DPP secretary general.

But Nkhata has denied claims by Jeffrey, saying its “false information”.

Said Nkhata: “This is  mere propaganda, I did not stop at a DPP rally and that they assaulted me is not true.”

According to Nkhata he went to cheer his  ailing brother and did not conduct a political acitivity.

Sometimes I wonder….do politicians think before they talk?
Here is a non elected politician bragging about the “beating” an honourable member of our Parliament sustained at the hands of the savage DPP youths!
Do we need further evidence that the so called cadets are sponsored by the ruling party?
Shame on the DPP. Chipani cha nkhanza ndi tsankho!! Ndi kuba…. Nafenso ma cadet tili nawotu! But they went to school and are productive citizens of the country!

I heard the woman and watched her on TV during the Masintha rally. It is the way she conducted the rally that prompted APM to appoint her in this post. You are just jealousy of this woman. Do you know which people in Nkhotakota contested against her in the constituency? For the fact that she is not in good books with the opposition it means she is opening their bowels. Go for them DADA.
