I agree with Robert Mafuno Maliko. Malawi is a sorry nation. People cannot think because of political greed. Idiots like Sanga, Dausi, Vuwa, Ntaba ,Mphepo etc are protecting their self interests; not those of Malawi people. It is sad to see people like Bright whom I have regarded highly following the stupid bandwagon. Shame.
This is how history will repeat itself. Malawi will end up with a life president (Peter Mutharika), under a dictatorial DPP party; and it will be thanks to the four musketeers (Chaponda, Dausi, Mphepo and Mchacha). This is my honest prediction and ignore it at your own peril. These four musketeers will propose unlimited terms for Peter Mutharika, at the next DPP Convention/Elective Conference and therefore will go unopposed. Chilima cannot be a president. What you see in him is just bravado. Has no qualities of a politician, what he is good at is to be used by people to do fundraising for their organizations. he is politically a baby though he has been the Vice president. In fact, DPP should drop him at the convention. The truth is that he is not even popular in the rural areas where real voters are not in WhatsApp and other social media. You could be right Jons about Chilima. But then what alternative do we have as Malawians? Certainly APM is not the answer. Whatever he has touched has turned to ashes. We certainly need a young, vibrant, energetic, visionary, ethical and morally standing leader to lead Malawi to the promised land. It may be that Chilima is not the answer either but we do need a change of face.
Let these DPP Governors be fired also for declaring Peter Mutharika as their 2019 presidential aspiring.Thats being undemocratic to fire some other people by expressing their views while others are being tolerated because they are supporting the top brass,that is a stone age politics.To my understanding,they is no democracy in DPP and i wonder why people are joining this party.The party is full of YES YES BWANA even if the boss/captain is taking the ship to a storm weather.Lets stop this dictatorial type of leadership for betterment of democracy in Malawi
Totally agree LEGO. But then politics has never been fair and is not for the sissies. Politicians are willing to be humiliated, locked up and beaten up, all in the name of fighting for its people. Very few of those do it for the people but rather for their own stomachs. Unfortunately, in Malawi, we have many of those who are in politics for their stomachs. Life judges them ruthlessly though.
