DPP’s civil war: Cadets attack MP Mchacha

The road to 2014 is bumpy and full of bloodshed to innocent Malawians and even some DPP officials. Attacks and petrol bombs that have landed on innocent Malawians are now extending to other ruling DPP officials.

On Monday, some thugs sent by the regional committee of the DPP in the south attacked DPP Thyolo West Member of Parliament Charles Mchacha and broke his vehicle.

Mchacha did not believe his eyes to see thugs that he knew as  DPP Cadets to have come under orders from some top regional officials of the party to attack him.

Mchacha: Get the taste of DPP terror

Eye witnesses who spoke to Nyasa Times said Mchacha was manhandled for some minutes before the thugs pounced on his vehicle damaging it in the process.

“Mr. Mchacha was very cross. He did not believe that he was being attacked by fellow DPP people. The thugs challenged that they were working under instructions from their boss,” said one eye witness.

Investigations reveal that the thugs were sent by the ‘smuggler’ Noel Masangwi following Nyasa Times report that Mchacha had been tipped for the position of regional governor after President Bingu wa Mutharika fired Masangwi. But he was later re-instated.

Another eye witnesss said Mchacha swore at the party for breeding thugs who break other people’s necks and petrol bomb houses of innocent Malawians.

A member of the party said the regional committee of the DPP in the south ought to have been dissolved completely because most of the office bearers have blood drooping from their hands.
