The 38 years-old driver won K1 million, in draw which was patronized by the media and Carlsberg Officials.

Speaking in a telephone interview immediately after the draw, Moyo who resides in Area 25, Lilongwe said he was delighted since this was his first time to win a prize in a competition.

“I am so glad, and let me salute Carlsberg for this competition. This is just the beginning because from today onwards l will be drinking Carlsberg like nobody’s business,” he said.

Sounding cool, Moyo also urged other Carlsberg imbibers that they should drink more to stand a chance to win prizes in the ongoing competition.

Moyo also won a traveling bag adding on to the MK1 million.

Carlsberg Malawi also conducted another draw, which saw consumers winning various prizes ranging from play station, Backpack, microwave, beer glass, hat, plastic cup, apron, cap, key ring, t-shirts, flames replica jerseys, cooler bags, flush discs, home theatre, cellphone, laptop, cooker and ipad.

Senior Brands manager at Carlsberg Malawi Twikale Chirwa said they received 16,000 entries but 14,000 were eligible as 2000 had errors.

Wachiona Ndani Promotion was launched on 20th March, 2015 and it is expected to end on 31st June, 2015.

For customers to stand a chance of winning, they have to buy a Carlsberg Green, Special or Stout and redeem prize found under the crown cork at nearest Carlsberg depot in Blantyre, Lilongwe or Mzuzu.

Customers can also SMS unique code found under the crown cork to 4040 TNM or 54040 Airtel to stand a chance of winning prizes.
