Elections body okays Rumphi Central Constituency

The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) says it has not received any major complaint from Rumphi Central Constituency, where voting took place on Tuesday  for an MP.

“Of course in any election there bound to be conflicts but in this case there very minor complains which were ably solved by the local Multiparty Liaison Committee,” MEC Chairperson Anastasia Msosa said.

Msosa: No complaints

The seat fell vacant after the death of former minister of Health Professor Moses Chirambo in August 2010.

Msosa told local media that everything was in order so that voting would be smooth.

PDM has Peter Chihana, DPP has Norman Nyirenda, Aford has Enock Chihana and PP has Chidumba Mkandawire.
