Lilongwe-based ITS Enterprises have stepped up the tempo for the highly anticipated Great Angels Choir website launch set for September 29th at Bingu International Conference Center (BICC) by contributing K0.5 million.
The company says has been encouraged to support the choir due to its innovative ideas.
Speaking during the cheque presentation on Friday, ITS Enterprises proprietor, Maxwell Phiri said they were excited to be associated with such innovative group.
“They have evolved for the last couple of the years, moving shows from ordinary venues to corporate stage. We saw some potential in the choir; if you listen to their music, and business ideas they have are challenging. For us its motivating factor to associate with them. They are going on worldwide web, which excites us to be working with them,” explained Phiri.
South African celebrated gospel artist, Sipho Makhabane will spice up the website launch. Makhabane who calls himself South Africa’s ‘Big Fish’ is main curtain-raiser for the show.
And Great Angels Choir Music Director, William Zonda has since promised fans of an event of high standard with no other performances apart from Makhabane and the choir itself.
“He is coming with his full band. People do complain when we have a long list of performers, therefore it will be the choir and Sipho Makhabane performing to ensure the audience enjoys maximum performances,” said Zonda.
It is for the first time for a local choral group to invite such renowned music artist, and it will be for the first time for a gospel music outfit in the country to have a website.
Great Angels is one of the leading choirs in the country with best-selling albums such as ‘Ndiyende Bwanji’, ‘Mundifungatile’, and ‘Gwireni Dzanja’, which contains a popular song ‘Paine Ndekha Sindingathe’.
