The concert, which will be held at Sunbird Livingstonia in Salima will start on Saturday up to Sunday and is expected to be highly patronized.

Airtel Malawi donated cash amount to K500, 000, which was presented by Airtel Malawi Customer Service Representative Joseph Naphini to Entertainers Promotions boss Jai Banda at their Shoprite Offices in Blantyre.

Before Airtel Malawi’s donation, in the morning there was also another cheque presentation worth K350, 000 by Blockbuster Mega Store to Jai Banda in Limbe.

Presenting the cheque was Blockbuster Mega Store Managing Director Amin Aziz.

In his remarks, Aziz said they thought it wise to celebrate with Malawians in a different way at the Concert.

“Most of our customers are Malawians and we thought it wise to celebrate with them in a different style as they trek to Salima this weekend to jive, relax and chill,” said Aziz.

He also said Entertainers Promotions are their customers in purchasing music equipment and disco lights used on the stage during shows.

“So we said why we can’t help them with a little something as our customers. This is just the beginning and we will continue assisting in different categories,” he said.

In his remarks, Banda hailed the two companies and assured them of transparency and accountability in the money donated.

Banda said the money will be used to pay for security personnel’s, which they have hired during the concert.

‘Mr Entertainer’ said they have hired close to 100 security personnel’s to ensure that there is maximum security during the concert.

Banda said the concert will give massive exposure to local musicians.
