Evangelists take gospel to schools over students immorality

Two Lilongwe-based evangelists say they have embarked on a gospel reach out to schools in the country with an aim of bringing about moral sanity, saying the levels have reached x-rated levels amongst school-going boys and girls.

Evangelist Zinyongo: There are a lot of immoral behaviors that are  happening in different schools

Themed ‘Winning Five Million Youths for Christ in 2019’, the evangelists – Charles Gwengwe and Richard Zinyongo -have said the service will be this Saturday at Mitundu Secondary School in the capital.

The evangelists said that they will tackle not only the spritual aspects of the youths lives but also their academics especially in career guidance.

“There are a lot of immoral behaviors that are  happening in different schools, but for us to win the youth we need to go there with the gospel, in so doing we believe we can have a better Malawi, and a better Malawi is possible if the youths in secondary schools and colleges have turned away from their immoral ways and follow Christ,” said Zinyongo.

He added: “We can also have a better Malawi if our youths have given their lives to Christ, we can have better politicians if our youths have received Jesus Christ as their personal savior, corruption starts from schools, therefore, the only weapon is to make the youths know Christ.”

According to Zinyongo, the crusade will start at 7:30 pm and it will be “a night full of anointing and the power of the Holy Ghost will manifest” for the glory of God.

Added Zinyongo: “All students who are troubled should came in their large numbers and God will answer their prayers , and their stories will change because this will not just be  a mere night but a night full of the Holy Spirit.”

The two evangelists said they are also on a mission to bring back the real church of Jesus, saying some people have have turned churches into fundraising ventures.

The crusade takes place barely few weeks after the two evangelists held similar functions at Lilongwe Technical College and Lilongwe Girls Secondary School where over 600 students attended.

There will also be music by Lloyd Phiri, Kondwani Chirwa and Andy Seko, among others, during the Mitundu event.
