Ex- Bullets official Pidini eyes FAM post

As Football Association of Malawi (FAM) polls approaches some individuals have started eying various posts and one of them is former Nyasa Big Bullets executive member, Lysan Pidini, who vies for the post of executive member at its elective annual general meeting in December.

Pidini, who holds a Bachelors Degree in Administration and works for National Bank of Malawi in Treasury and Investment Division, said it has been his dream to help the development of football at top level.

“In the meantime, I am consulting major stakeholders. I have to meet FAM affiliates to check what they want and also share them my plans,” he said.

Pidini said he is particularly interested with youth and infrastructure development as his key areas he wants to see FAM flourish.

“Besides that, I also want to help the welfare of our players so that they should enjoy following their sweat on the pitch,” he said.

Pidini, who was elected committee member at Bullets in 2014 during the reign of Kondie Msungama, said he learnt valuable lessons at Bullets to easily manage football at top level.

“I am also doing my Masters at Malawi Institute of Management(MIM). So this knowledge will be helpful if I will join FAM,” he said.

Just last week, daughter for former Sports Minister, Moses Dossi, Felister also express her interest to contest as FAM president.

Felister Dossi, who previously served as executive member in the Malawi Law Society, is a football enthusiast and has been following the game from the time her father, former sports minister Moses Dossi, was a football commentator as ‘man on the touchline’.

Expressing her interest for FAM post, Felister Dossi satd she has a passion to serve in the football governing  body.

Felister Dossi is currently head of legal services and loan recoveries at NBS Bank.
