Former minister  and member of Parliament for Zomba Chingale, Leonard Mangulama has quit   United Democratic Front (UDF) to join the ruling People’s Party (PP).

Mangulama, who failed to secure a seat in UDF national executive committiee during last year’s convention, was co-opted as an executive member.

Mussa said Malawians should learn to appreciate the good work President Banda has been doing since she took over Government on April 7, 2012.

“Malawians should have a spirit of appreciation when someone (referring to Joyce Banda) does good things for them,” said Mussa.

Director of research for the ruling People’s Party, John Chikalimba said it is high time men gave all the support to the incumbent president.

“We all know that women who are in majority supported us men in the three regimes of Dr Kamuzu Banda, Dr Bakili Muluzi ad Professor Bingu wa Mutharika. What reason is there then for us men not to support this female president this time around,” wondered Chikalimba.
