Ex-MP Kuntenga, others deny joining Davis Katsonga’s party

Former lawmaker for Zomba Malosa, Kennedy Kuntenga, along with other politicians, has strongly denied the news about their joining of Davis Katsonga’s Chipani Cha Pfuko  (CCP) and declared it baseless.

Katsonga has been naming various politicians as members of his party, including Kuntenga.

But Kuntenga said he has not been party to CCP.

“I am no longer in active politics,” said the former UDF director fo youth in the southern region.

Katsonga: Politicians deny joining Chipani Cha Pfuko

“I am preoccupied with serving God. I have no time for politics at this particular time and not even being a member of the party which is even registered,” he added.

Kuntenga said claims that he has joined  Katsonga’s party were unfounded.

Katsonga claimed his party has swallowed a lot of “disgruntled” members from  UDF, DPP and People’s Party.

But various names that he has been mentioning, have been refuting to be party to him.

In his home area, Mwanza, many constituents who spoke to Nyasa Times said they have not joined Katsonga’s party.

There were many who said they would be loyal to the incumbent parliamentarian, Nicholous Dausi, that follow the “political prostitution” of Katsonga.
