FA Malawi need K90mil for Guinea fixture: Training camp set for Feb 21
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) General Secretary Suzgo Nyirenda says his association needs at least a total of K90 million to fulfil its home and away fixtures against Guinea in the ongoing 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

Nyirenda said currently, the association has K67 million.
He said K50 million is from their sponsor Carlsberg Malawi Limited, K15 million from Airtel Malawi while K2 million was a
balance left from the Cecafa tournament budget last year.
However, Nyirenda said he is optimistic that the budget will be met.
Flames are expected to play their first leg against Guinea on 23rd March, 2013 with the second leg match played four days later.
Meanwhile, Fam has announced that Flames camping comprising of only locally based players will start on 21 February, 2015 at the Chiwembe Technical Centre in Blantyre with the professionals joining the squad at a later stage.
The Fam General Secretary said the locals need ample time to prepare as most clubs are yet to start their preparations for the new season since they are on off season break.
