Blantyre based fans have penned Blantyre City Council, asking for permission to march and present a petition to the Football Association of Malawi (Fam) in protest against the Malawi national football team, the Flames poor performance in all competitions.

According to a letter signed by secretary of the organizing committee Charles Kanyama, which Nyasa Times has sourced, the march is planned for September 16, 2013 and will start from Kamuzu Stadium.

The poorly written letter, which wrongly spells the word ‘march’ reads in part: “On behalf of supporters of football sport in Malawi, I write to request if you could allow us to mutch so that we should go and present a letter of
the petition to the Football Association of Malawi and the Malawi National Sports Council.

“We want to [march] on 16 September, 2013 that we will start [marching]  from the Kamuzu Stadium upper ground to Malawi National Sports Council via Chipembere Highway to Chiwembe road up to Football Association of Malawi.”
