Fastjet starts flights to Malawi
Fastjet, Africa’s low-cost airline, has been granted a foreign operators’ permit from the Malawian authorities to start flights between Lilongwe, capital of Malawi and Dar es Salaam in Tanzania .

The new route has been put on sale from and operations commence in July.
Initially operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, fastjet is confident that, in line with its other routes, it will grow in frequency quickly.
fastjet’s lowest fare will be $50 plus government taxes.
The new route is fastjet’s sixth international destination in Africa.
Chief executive Ed Winter said: “Whilst we are directing much of our efforts to prepare for the planned launch of the fastjet Zimbabwe and fastjet Zambia airlines, we continue to work hard on growing our Tanzanian network.
“This significant step links two thriving commercial centres and provides the population of both countries with an affordable and reliable air services. Our lowest international fare of $50, available to early bookers, is expected to ensure strong demand.”

Please consider south Africa that could be super
AM SADDENED BY THIS NEWS !!!! AS A PATROTIC MALAWIAN I FORSEE THE DEATH OF OUR LOCAL AIRLINER BECAUSE MALAWIANS CAN START TO TRAVEL TO SOUTH AFRICA AT THE LOWEST COST VIA DARESALAM. GOVERNMET COULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THE CONSEQUENCE OF ITS DECISION. ALREADY WHEN YOU FLY ON MALAWIAN AIRLINE SOMETIMES ITS LIKE YOU HAVE CHARTTERED THE PLAIN. WE REALLY NEED TO THINK HOW WWE CAN PROMOTE OUR LOCAL AIRLINER THAN GRANTING OTHERS ACCESS TO MALAWI,
Looking forward for this airline to open in malawi
What is going to happen with malawian which goes without passengers
