FDH Bank launches scholaship fund for Malawi University of Science and Technology students
FDH Bank has launched a 62.5 million Kwacha scholarship fund for students at Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Thyolo.
The fund, which will run for a span of five years took place on Wednesday at Ndata campus.
FDH Bank Deputy Managing Director, William Mpinganjira, urged beneficiaries to work hard and make the most it.
Mpinganjira said “academic performance is key for the scholarship”.
He further said the scholarship includes attachments at FDH bank.
MUST Vice Chancellor, Professor Address Malata thanked the bank whilst reiterating Mpinganjira’s call to beneficiaries to work hard.
“With a full scholarship from the bank, the students have no excuse to fail” said Malata.
The Vice Chancellor went on to ask the students to learn helping others.
FDH Holdings is a majority shareholder of FDH Bank and other companies namely FDH Money Bureau and First Discount House.
