FDH bankrolls medical care services in Mangochi

The FDH Bank, a subsidiary of FDH Financial Holding Limited has given assorted medical equipment valued at K700, 000 to Mangochi District Hospital

The equipment comprised an autoclave used in the operating theatre, suction machine and lamps for the maternity ward, infusion pumps and ventilators among other items.

FDH Bank Managing Director, Jimmy Kayuni, said the medical equipment was meant to complement the presidential initiative on improving maternal and child health and “increasing access to medical care services.”

The donation came after FDH opened its branch in Mangochi district.

District Commissioner for Mangochi, Thomas Chirwa, commended FDH Bank for the medical donation.

Mangochi District Hospital Medical Officer, Dr. Chimwemwe Banda, thanked FDH Bank for the equipment which he said “has come at the right time” in the light of the acute drug and tools shortage in public health facilities.

Banda said the bank had made a need assessment at the hospital before making it.
