Felix Tambulasi Takes Charge as New MRA Commissioner General
The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) has a new leader at the helm. Mr. Felix Tambulasi has officially taken charge as Commissioner General, following a smooth handover from his predecessor, Mr. Daniel Daka, on Monday, 27th October 2025.

The transition took place at MRA Head Office, where Mr. Tambulasi was warmly welcomed by Management and later held a joint meeting with senior officials to mark the official transfer of leadership.
In his remarks, Mr. Daka commended MRA staff for their dedication and urged them to extend the same support to his successor, while Mr. Tambulasi thanked Management for the warm reception and pledged to build on the Authority’s achievements in revenue mobilisation and service excellence.
Mr. Tambulasi is a familiar face at MRA, having served as Director of Legal Services and Company Secretary from 2011 to 2021. His extensive experience in tax law, corporate governance, and public administration is expected to strengthen the Authority’s ongoing reforms and operational efficiency.
The MRA Management has since expressed confidence in Mr. Tambulasi’s leadership, describing the handover as seamless and affirming their collective commitment to advancing the Authority’s mission of mobilising revenue for national development.
