Sponsors of the inaugural K45 Million Foundation for Irrigation and Sustainable Development (FISD) Challenge Cup-FISD Limited will dress all the semifinalists who are set to battle it out this coming weekend, Nyasa Times understands.
Action starts on Saturday 19 November 2016 with Blue Eagles playing host to Mighty Be Forward at a home away from home-the Kamuzu Stadium while Silver Strikers welcome Kamuzu Barracks at the Silver Stadium on Sunday.
FISD Limited Managing Director Frank Mwenechanya is quoted in the press confirming that indeed all the four teams will be dressed in brand new jerseys.
“We have bought all fout teams uniforms and it is a must that teams use our uniform as we are promoting FISD brand” Mwenechanya is qotedas saying.
The company signed a five year sponsorship deal with the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) mid this year.
FISD brand promotes Irrigation, Agriculture and food security.
It is a 100% local company owned by four vibrant young men namely Moses Chirambo, Arthur Mpama, Kondwani Nanchukwa and Mwenechanya himself.
According to Mwenechanya, since the company started associating with football which he said has a large following, the company has received a massive response from the general public.
“People have been coming to inquire about our services and we have done installations on about 800 hectares of land. If we had remained quiet, not many people would have known about the services we are offering, which has a huge impacton the country’s economy,” said Mwenechanya.
