Five Malawian referees named for CAF Interclub competition preliminary rounds
Malawi will have five referees officiating in the preliminary rounds of the 2026/27 CAF Interclub competitions, running from 4 to 13 September, after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed a series of appointments.

According to the Football Association of Malawi (FAM), Easter Bright Kalikokha Zimba has been named centre referee for the CAF Confederation Cup match between Namibia’s Una FC and Angola’s Kabuscorp de Palanca, set for 5 September at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda.
Zimba will be assisted by Samuel Fudzulani as Assistant Referee One and Lameck Mbuluma Phiri as Assistant Referee Two, with David Chinoko taking on the role of Fourth Official.
Chinoko will also take charge of a fixture himself, appointed as centre referee for the CAF Champions League tie between Seychelles’ Foresters FC and Angola’s Wiliete de Benguela on 10 September, at the Estádio Nacional da Tundavala in Lubango.
He will be supported by Fudzulani, again as Assistant Referee One, alongside Sibusiso Sibongire Sibande as Assistant Referee Two, with Zimba serving as Fourth Official for that match.
