Kanyoza said she was flooded last year, so obviously decided to remain in this vulnerable location next to the river, areas the story claims were declared unfit for housing. People insisting on building in unsafe areas should take full responsibility. Politicians should not encourage this foolishness with handouts each time flooding happens. The buildings themselves are not designed to any kind of standard … can’t really expect these to withstand any harsh conditions, so who is to blame?
