According to one of organizing members of the event Robert Mdedza, apart from individual awards, all the players will also be given a uniform reward for their achievements.

Mdedza said the club through its supporters is expected to vote for  the Best Goalkeeper, Defender, Midfielder and Striker of the season.

There will also be an award that will go to the most disciplined player as well as overall outstanding and most improved player.

The voting process will be done through special cards that will be spread in all districts across the country.

“We have Wanderers supporters all over the country and we will make sure that every genuine supporter enjoys his or her right to vote. We will have cards that will be sold in all the zones that people will be purchasing to enable them to vote,” said Mdedza.

“We will soon announce exact places where they can get the cards” he added.

According to Mdedza, the players deserve to be rewarded for the remarkable achievements in the just ended season despite failing to impress in the elite TNM Super League.

“The boys did well, they won us Carlsberg Cup, Fisd Challenge Cup and a Bus in the Luso Bus Ipite Bonanza hence the need to reward them. It is no mean achievement” he said.

Wanderers finished the 2016 season on a very high note after beating their old age traditional rivals Nyasa Big Bullets 5-1 in a two legged Bus Ipite Bonanza which was sponsored by Luso Television.

They in the process made history by becoming the first team to register a win at the newly build state of the art Bingu National Stadium which will officially be inaugurated on 28th January with an international friendly match involving Malawi national team The Flames and China.
