Gaba, Gerald Phiri Jnr secure loan move from Bidvest
Malawi national football team stars based in South Africa have secured transfer deals on loan from their South African club Bidvest Wits Football Club.
Bidvest Wits secured their loan move for Gabadinhgo Mhango and Gerald Phiri Jr as the team could not accommodate them after exhausting their foreign quotas.
Mhango, who has joined the team from Bloemfontein Celtic is heading to Golden Arrows while Phiri Jr to Botswana top league side Township Rollers.
This has been done to give the players have more game time as they wait to return in July.
Phiri joined Bidvest last year from Mighty Wanderers after undergoing successful trials.
But son to former Flames striker Gerald Phiri has been kept out of action because of a delay to have his work permit processed.
At Botswana’s Township Rollers he will link up with another former Wanderers holding midfielder Lawrence Majawa.
Meanwhile Flames striker Chiukepo Msowoya has completed a week long trials at Bloemfontein Celtic.
Chiukepo was called for trials in a bid for Phunya Sele Sele to fill the gap created by the departure of Chiukepo.
“Chiukepo has finished trials and we are just waiting to hear from Bloemfontein Celtic,” Bullets Technical Director Billy Tewesa said.
All the best guys
