Gaba hat trick leads BB in Standard Bank Cup quarter-finals

The Peoples Team’s player-of-the-moment Gabadinho Mhango on Saturday was once again hero of the day when he fired Bullets FC into the quarter-finals OF the K20 million Standard Bank Knock-out Cup when they outclassed Blantyre United 4-1 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Mhago registered a hat trick while Diverson ‘Agogo’ Mlozi nailed the last nail on Blantyre United coffin. Dalitso Sailesi pulled one back for United.

The combination of Mhango, Heston Munthali and Mlozi gave Blantyre United defence, which was marshalled by Wachimwa Sadik a lot of work to do.

Bullets supporters chanted their new anthem “Siine koma Gabadinho.”

Big Bullets will now face the capital city out-fit, Epac FC in a home and away quarter finals.

“They gave us tough time in Lilongwe, but now l can assure them that we will beat them in Blantyre. Iam also very happy with my boys for teaching Blantyre United a lesson because they were underrating us,”Bullets coach, Eding’ton Ng’onamo, told Nyasa Times after the match.

Blantyre United, Elijah Kananji. Conceded defeat but praised his boys for  putting up a gallant fight despite their lose.
