Gawa Undi offers to handle Malawi chieftaincy wrangles
Kalonga Gawa Undi who is also Chewa Chief for three countries of Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi, Sunday suggested to be given room to handle all Chewa chieftaincy wrangles happening in the country.
Chewa Heritage Coordinator, Senior Chief Lukwa who spoke on behalf of Gawa Undi revealed this at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe after meeting President Professor Peter Mutharika.
“There are a lot of court injunctions among the Chewa chieftaincy especially on who to take over the thrown after one dies. The Chewa chief wants all cases to be handled by him,” Lukwa explained.
Lukwa, however said Gawa Undi took advantage of the meeting with the President to discuss solution on the issues and end them once and for all.
Lukwa further said Gawa Undi’s meeting with Mutharika was also aimed at strengthening the relationship which the Late President, Professor Bingu wa Mutharika established with the Chewa Chief.
On Saturday, Gawa Undi attended Senior Chief Chadza’s wedding who tied knots with Caroline Chadza at Msozi Headquarters in Lilongwe.

Greencardless Malawian, the President meets any chief at any time not to bribe them but to discuss issues of national or indeed traditional/cultural importance. Lets leave politics aside as we endeavor to develop Malawi.
So this president of yours is busy inviting each and every chewa chief to state house and give them an envelope in the end just to buy sympathy from the chewa people just to vote for him in the next elections??? Eat his money guys.
