CAPS United’s Malawian international George Nyirenda has rejoined Big Bullets FC and is geared to help the TNM Super League defending champions in their title defence campaign.
The Malawi international has been playing as a central defender, but the coming-in of the new coach Mark Harrison at Caps saw him being redeployed as an anchorman. He eventually lost his rythm.
Bullets team manager Billy Tewesa confirmed that Nyirenda is back with the campions and was among spectators who witnessed Bullets’s triumph over bitter rivals Mighty Wanderers on Saturday.
“Yes it’s true, he started training with us on Wednesday. He is our son and we have welcomed him back into our family,” Tewesa said as quoted by Malawi24.
Nyirenda, who dumped Bullets for the Zimbabwean side in 2013, is expected to start playing in the second round of the TNM Super League as his contract with Caps is set to expire in two weeks time.
