God is love, don’t condemn yourself

Many times things have happened to children of God that make people think that things have happened because it was their mistake, failure or something they did which they believe was not right in the eyes of God. The Bible tells us in Romans 8:1 that “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus”. This means that we are dead to our past, from the day we accepted Jesus as our personal savior. Therefore all things of the past are gone; we have to begin living a new life through Christ who has redeemed us.jesus bible

If you look at David’s life, He did many things that did not please God. We see that whenever he realize that he has sinned against God, He went into repentance and continue His walk with Christ as if nothing has happened (Psalm 51). If he could have dwelt on his past mistakes then he would not have been able to save God. David time was the time when Jesus Christ had not yet come to redeem us from the debt of sin. We are now under grace which makes it even better and beautiful for there is no need to kill bulls to give sacrifice to be set free of our past mistakes.

God knew from the beginning that we will not be able to make it on our own, that is why He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to come and die for us, and He is the Only One who lived a sinless life.

God did not promise us a failure free life, or a problem free life, but He has promised to deliver us from all of them.

Condemnation is actually a tool that Satan uses to bring God’s children to himself. Once God’s children are living in condemnation, all areas of their life are affected, because they cannot succeed academically or professionally because self esteem is taken out of them and dwell on the past things that Jesus has already taken out of the way.

Samson is another person that failed to live according to the will of God until the Philistines seized, and put out his eyes, and abound him with fetters of brass; and made him grind in the prison house. This situation came because of his association with the philistines which were enemies of God. This can also happen to children of God now because of association with the world which leads to losing spiritual eyesight and liberty. But we see that Samson was restored and his spirituality was restored again which means that there is completely nothing that our God looks as a permanent thing to make us continue to condemn our self.

The past may not look good, but we are a new creation through what Jesus did on the cross of Calvary. This does not however give us a right to live a life that is not pleasing in the eyes of God. Grace is indeed greater than sin but that doesn’t mean that the believer has a license to sin, and if you are truly saved, you will always hate to do what is not right in the eyes of the Lord.
