Gospel artist Kapitapita to launch album in December

Gospel Musician Dustan Kapitapita is set to launch the long awaited album titled Mdzayenda ndi Yesu which he released early this year on December 16 at the Sheafer Conference Center.

The musician is expected to put up a double launch of the CD and DVD of album which is already enjoying the airwaves.

According to Kapitapita he delayed in launching the album because he wanted to see how people were prepared for him after such a long time without holding shows.

Great Angels Choir to support

“I had to see how hungry my fans were for me before going ahead with launching the album. As you are aware, it has been over 5 years since I released an album.

“I have been supporting a lot of gospel musicians lately during their shows and I have received the overwhelming response therefore, I am very satisfied that my fans have welcomed me back,” said Kapitapita.

The new album which contains 14 songs were all composed and sang by the artist himself with genres ranging from pasada to dancehall.

“I am not collaborating with Gift Phiri like the first album, I am doing my own thing and so is he. All the 14 songs in the album I have composed and sang them myself,” said Kapitapita.

According to him, some of the supporting artists who will spice us the his launch are well known artists like George Mkandawire, Great Angels Choir, Marvelous Deeds, Favoured Martha, Peter Mlangeni and others.

As if he were reading people’s minds, the artists promised his fans that all supporting artists who will be registered on the fliers will show up at the launch.

“I can promise my fans that all the supporting artists I have invited will be there at the show because I know some of the gospel artists use well known artists as crowd pullers when they know they will not be at the show, which is very unfortunate,” said the musician

Kapitapita came in the lime light in 2005 when he released the album Diso Langa together with Gift Phiri.
