Blantyre based songstress Eliza Mponya has announced the long awaited of her debut album titled ‘Mulolelanji’ slated for 4th June at Robins Park in Blantyre.
Mponya has made a number of collaborations with several artists including Ethel Kamwendo, Mike alibewawo, Princess Chitsulo, Khama Khwiliro and Brenda Kadammanja
The lead song which also bears the album title “Mulolelanji” has gone viral on social media and is currently enjoying airplay in different local radio stations.
Mponya said rehearsals are currently under way in order to give out the best performance during the day.
“it’s been long but now the time is here, I am ready ,currently am doing rehearsals and all I can say is to promise my fans to come in large number to watch the best live performances on 4 June,” she said.
She said the show will be one of its best and that she cannot afford to disappoint her fans but rather putting up the best.
Recorded at Alimoso studios by Khathwa Aligiza some of the songs in the album include Wakhala Bwanji, Mwandisiilanji, i want to know you, Mwatsala pinango and ndili ndi Mulungu.
During the launch Mponya will be supported by re-known gospel musicians including Patience Namadingo, Ethel Kamwendo, Thoko Katimba and Favoured Martha and many others.
The show is slated to start at 11 o’clock and will attract an entry fee of K1 500 per head.
Eliza Mponya came to the limelight in 2006 when she was singing with her sister Triza Mponya together they released two albums before Triza left the country for South Africa.
