Gospel hip – hop artist, Gwamba will from September hold shows in various colleges in all the three regions of the country expected to begin on September 15,2017.

Gwamba gears up for tour

The tour will be promoted by Major 1 Records.

“The tour in earnest starts on September 15 at the Polytechnic before moving on to Mzuzu University followed by Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources Bunda campus. Specific dates for each show will be announced soon,” he said.

The likes of Emmanuel, formerly Emm Q, Dr. Ethel Kamwendo Banda, Miracle Chinga, Steve Spesho, Cornerstone Music and Grena Phiri are expected to curtain raise the events.

Gwamba also known as Duncan Zgambo said fans to the shows would be required to buy a CD at K1000 to enter for free.

Born on November 4, 1990, he started his music career in 2005 and his passion for rap music emerged when he was in secondary school where with his home mates Cyclone, Emm Q and L.I formed a crew called Pittie Boiz.

Gwamba became a born again Christian some years later and dropped a number of singles such as ‘Better’ and ‘Alleluyah’ both featuring Emm Q, his childhood friend.

Despite critics thinking Gwamba would lack depth of creativity in dishing out gospel pieces, all the songs are doing remarkably well on the local market.
