Harry Nyirenda completes Wanderers return
Be Forward Wanderers have completed signing of of former Black Leopards central defender Harry Nuno Nyirenda and he was unveiled on Monday at their Lali Lubani Road Club house in Blantyre.
Present during the signing ceremony was the clubs general secretary Mike Butao and Team Manager Steve Madeira.
Butao told Nyasa Times that they were impressed with his services.
But he did not divulge more information on the period of his contract.
“We are pleased to announce that Wanderers has signed Nyirenda. We are happy and impressed with his services,” said Butao.
Butao said Nyirenda has developed into a much better player and that his experience will be vital in their pursuit for the league title.
On his remarks, the Flames vastly experienced defender said he was delighted to be back at Wanderers and described it is a big football club in Malawi.
“Wanderers is a big club and l am happy to be part of this family. I was warmly welcomed by the fans, fellow players and the technical panel. I hope l can use my experience in helping the club to fulfill its ambition,” said Nyirenda.
“I will give my best to help the team,” he added.
Wanderers assistant coach Elijah Kananji described Nyirenda as one of the skilful and experienced defenders in the country.
“He is a good player and looking forward to work with him. His passes are perfect and he is also a hard worker,” said Kananji.
This season the Nomads have also roped in the likes of Ernest Tambe, Rafiq Namwera, Peter Wadabwa,Amos Bello,Genki Nakamula and they also welcomed back Foster Namwera and Richard Chipuwa from Mozambique.
