High court grants bail to murder suspects

The High court in Blantyre has given bail to two murder suspects of teenager Harrison Mukhova junior last year in Blantyre.

The two, Lovemore Liwambano and Mike Chiwaula through their lawyer applied for bail to the court after they were arrested and denied the bail by the Midima magistrate court last week.

The suspects were arrested together with the other three as the prime suspects to the brutally murder of the teenager during the night of 15th November, 2014 in Newlands, Blantyre.

In his bail ruling, Justice Chirwa of Blantyre High Court ordered the two to pay K200, 000 bail fee, two sureties who are relations with K100, 000 and another three with K50, 000 each.

They have been also told not to leave Blantyre without notifying the police and they must report to police twice a week.

The other three who are still at Chichiri prison for the same offence are Martin Kalima and Chitani Kwayira, while Benson Christopher is at Limbe police station.
