Thousands of Catholics and other denominations converged at Zomba Catholic Secondary School ground on Saturday to witness the consecration of very Rev.FR. George Desmond Tambala as Bishop of Zomba Diocese which was conferred by Archbishop Julio Murat.

Also present during the consecration was Malawi’s President Arthur Peter Mutharika, Vice President Saulosi Chilima, Former President Bakili Muluzi, all Catholic Bishops from Malawi and some from Zambia and nuns even priests.

Nyasa Times Senior Photo journalist Jeromy Kadewere was also present and he took photos.( Pictorial Focus )
