Jomo Cosmos targeting two Malawi players: Mhone, Sulumba
Malawi national soccer team’s participation at the 2015 Cosafa Cup edition seem to have yielded positive results as South African club Jomo Cosmos has shown interest to take on board two Malawian players.

Cosmos who will be returning to the top South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL) are interested to sign Blue Eagles midfielder Mecium Mhone and Mighty Wanderers man of the moment Muhammad Sulumba.
Cosmos local soccer agent Ben Chiwaya confirmed the development on Tuesday.
Chiwaya said he has been monitoring the players on the local scene and Cosmos owner Jomo Sono fell in love with the two after watching them playing at the Cosafa tournament.
“We have watched the two here at home [Malawi] and after watching them at Cosafa, Sono himself told me that we should find means of bringing the two players into our team” Chiwaya told a local radio.
He however revealed that he has already launched talks with Blue Eagles on Mhone while as of Sulumba, he is waiting to first find out the club who owns the player.
He said this follows reports he is getting that Sulumba belongs to Blantyre United and is playing at Wanderers on loan.
“I have already started discussions with Blue Eagles officials and seem the ball is in our hand. Talking of Wanderers on Sulumba, we haven’t yet talked to Wanderers because we are hearing the player belongs to Blantyre United” Chiwaya said.
Meanwhile, Sono is expected to jet into the country this weekend to watch and make a final assessment on Sulumba and Mhone this weekend as Flames host Zimbabwe in an African Cup of Nation qualifying match this is according to the Jomo Cosmos local agent.
