Married: Delano and Laura

Born Maurice Nkawihe, Delano married his fiancée Laura in an event held at Hills Garden in Limbe, Blantyre.

The two regarded the wedding as a moment they rewrote their love story in the presence of family and friends.

“It has taken me long time to be certain that I made right decision to fall in love with Laura. I might have taken several years to do this; I felt now am mature and certain that this is the best ever decision I have made in my life,” said Nkawihe.

The Tonthola and kukongola Kwako star, admitted to have made several mistakes over the years he has known Laura, admitting “her resilience and true love has made him become a mature person.”

“As Proverbs 31: 10-31 put it, a good woman has to be cherished. She is a kind of woman every man longs for. And it’s my belief that we will grow old together.”

Delano and Laura fell in love in 2012. The two recount their meeting as true fate, and made their wedding a splendid moment where family and friends joined in celebrating their love story.

The weather was so favorable for the lovebirds who shared their vows in the morning at same venue Hills Garden before the glamorous reception. It was a wedding to remember as artist StichFray of Zoti Ndimakukonda hit song- one of the bridal party- performed for the couple.

And Delano followed suit with a song for his sweetheart that attracted applause from the audience.

As a journalist, Delano has worked for several institutions including The Daily Times and Nyasa Times. He now works for Lilongwe Water Board (LWB) while Laura works for Malawi Electoral Commission (Mec).
