K14m at stake in SeedCo ‘kukolola phwamwamwa’ promotion

SeedCo, one of the country’s seed companies, says the company values the visions of farmers by rendering enough support which enables them to achieve their goals.

SeedCo’s Sales and Distribution Manager, Gregory Madeya said this on Wednesday when the company launched Kukolola Phwamwamwa Consumer Promotion valued at K14 Million which will run for four months in Blantyre.

Madeya said their company has decided to introduce the promotion as a way of supporting and thanking farmers for the support they have been rendering to the company since its existence.

“For a farmer to enter the competition, they have to buy a minimum of 5 Kgs of Hybrid seeds mainly Kanyani Sc 403, Mkango Sc 627 and Njobvu Sc 719.

“Farmers will be given a scratch card instantly after buying our products and will see what they have won.

“The prizes include 80,000 Plastic Cups, 80,000 plastic plates, 10,000 notebooks, 5,000 plastic pails, 4,800 big basins, 5,000 kgs of seeds, 1,000 cell phones and 700 wrappers,” said Madeya.

Madeya said a farmer can use both cash and a coupon to buy the seeds hence needs not to panic.

“For the competition to be done the company has spent K14 Million and it is the company’s belief that this will make a difference to our valuable customers.

“This year’s competition will run in all SeedCo Malawi approved Agro Dealers shops across the country and these are Nyiombo Investments, Agrihort, Agriculture Trading Company (ATC) and Green Valley,” added Madeya.
