Why not install solar lights? In a country where the regime doesnt want its people to enjoy electricity these lights will be useless. And why does that small project cost a staggering 47.5 million kwacha?

Very strange indeed. A pole cost mk300000. So 40 poles should be mk12000000. Am not sure if wires, transportation of 40 poles plus labor can cost mk35000000

With Solar you could have paid K12 million. In a country where blackout is the name of the game you can’t be proud ofAC system. Go Solar. No bills. No wiring. No carbon. Once off cost. .
