Kandodo in no show for MCP rally in Kasungu
Former cabinet minister in Democratic Progress Party (DPP) and People’s Party (PP) governments Ken Kandodo who was expected to rejoin Malawi Congress Party (MCP) on Sunday failed to attend the rally at Mtunthama grounds in Kasungu which was addressed by MCP president Lazarus Chakwera.

MCP sources told Nyasa Times that Kandodo is already working with the party and that he will be “unveiled at a later stage.”
But Kandodo did not want to confirm joining MCP, keeping his cards close to his chest.
Professor Blessings Chinsinga, a lecturer in political science at the University of Malawi, warned the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to expect stiff competition in the 2019 general elections.
