Kamuzu Barracks F.C match maker Harvey Nkacha has been named TNM Super League player of the month of November 2016.
The accolade was spiced up with a 2-0 win over fellow title contenders Blue Eagles on Sunday at the Nankhaka ground.
Nkacha said it feels good to win the accolade and thanked God and team mates for being there for him.
“It feels great picking up this player of the month award for November and it just sums up my season. Firstly I thank God for everything he is doing to me this season then my team mates and Technical Panel for their encouragement and trust in me,” Nkacha told Nyasa Times in an interview on Monday.
Commenting on the future of his team in winning the first ever league title as the race approaches the final stages, he was optimistic and said this can be achieved if they play their cards well in their last
two games against Dwangwa United and Karonga United.
“It is very tough and one of the season I will live to remember; with two games to go, we just need to play our cards well and the good thing in our camp is that we are playing under no pressure we are just
working as a team and this oneness is helping us alot and we believe in ourselves; its an open race” explained Nkacha.
He therefore vowed to fight till the end and see what God has kept in stock for the Fisd Cup finalists.
“We havent looked down since losing the final, we have remained focused and we hope to finish better,” he said.
Nkacha has been the hub of KB both in Cup and league games scoring eight goals in the process.
He received a golf shirt and K30,000 cheque for scooping the player of the month award.
KB continues to lead the log standings with 55 points from 28 games played so far.
With Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers come second and third with 54 and 53 points respectively.
