Keeping Girls to School initiative ropes in El Genesys
In a bid to help keep girls in school Blantyre Based NGO Msintho wa Maganizo has roped in rising music star El Genesys to help them campaigning for the girl child.
The initiative coordinator Isaac Kasisi said among other things Genesys will act as an ambassador of the initiative.
He will be holding awareness campaigns to enable people know the importance of keeping the Girls in school.
Its a pity seeing girls dropping out from school for marriage at a tender age for various reasons that could have been sorted out in their families but parents opts to marry them off for favours from their suitors
“We decided to partner El Genesys to help us addresses those issues in an artistic way he is a creative and Talented young man and we know that he will be willing to help Bring the Girls back to school” added Kasisi
El genesys said as a concerned Malawian he thought is wise to be part of an initiative to help sending teen mothers to school saying as an artist he has recorded a theme track Musamatero ft Yam way.
“Women deserve marriage and girls deserve school so we need to keep them in school” said El Genesys who is also a youth activist.
