Kinnah advises stars to join local clubs, TNM fixture
Flames Coach Kinna Phiri has advised two Flames players to re-launch their career with local clubs before thinking of going back abroad in search of greener pastures.
The duo are former Orlando Pirates genius Joseph ‘Shakira’ Kamwendo and Black Leopards right winger Fisher ‘Jahman’ Kondowe.
Both players were released by their clubs on a free transfer.
It is reported that after the Tunisia game last Saturday, Phiri summoned the duo before advising them to find local clubs in order to keep themselves physically fit.
The Flames mentor sidelined Kondowe during Tunisia game while Kamwendo was left on the bench for the entire 90 minutes.
Kondowe told Nyasa Times that he is training with Escom United but hoping to re-launch his career with Big Bullets.
“It is true that l am training with Escom United, but hoping to rejoin my former team,” said Kondowe.
Meanwhile, Flames goalkeeper Swadick Sanudi, who was also advised by Phiri to find a local club after being released by his South African club, is enjoying his game time at Big Bullets.
So far, Sanudi has played two games for the People’s team.
However, it is not known when another former Black Leopards right winger Benard Harawa will start playing for his former club.
Meanwhile, as the battle continues in the elite TNM Super League continues, there are some mouth watering fixtures this coming weekend.
The game of the week will take place at Kalulu Stadium between Mighty Wanderers and Azam Tigers.
Since, Leo Mpulula was recruited as the mentor, the Kau-kau boys managed to beat Blue Eagles, Civo United and Big Bullets.
