Mutharika sacked Kumpalume, who is member of parliament for Blantyre Rural West, for an undisclosed reasons.

Kumpalume regarded as one of the competent person in Mutharika’s top team was too gutted to comment about his disappointment.

He opted to keep his comments close to his chest.

Mussa is now replaced by Francis Kasaila as Youth, Sports, and Manpower Development Minister while Dr. Emmauel Fabiano, formerly Education, Science and Technology Minister replaces Kasaila as Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister.
