Up-and-coming femcee Lady Pace and Blantyre-based artist management company, Trap Entertainment, have terminated their contract.
Both the artist and the stable’s founder, Ron Cz confirmed the termination of Lady Pace’s two-year contract signed about three months ago.
The rapper/singer, speaking to Nyasa Showbiz on Monday: “…am leaving on friendly terms.”
But according to Ron Cz, there is another record label which is interested in the artist, a development which Lady Pace confirmed but said couldn’t reveal till negotiations were completed.
She said: “Am transforming myself as an artist, learning guitar so that I can embark on new genres of music, new projects and different paths and these can best be served by different parties, which I can’t reveal till negotiations are completed. Ron supported my idea 100 percent.”
Ron Cz said: “…we have parted on good grounds. There was no any disagreement or anything wrong. We terminated the contract and let her pursue her dream.”
Asked on whether the other company was buying the artist out of his label since she was on a 24-months deal, Ron Cz replied: “We are still making decisions on how to handle the issue and all will be communicated”.
Meanwhile, Lady Pace has dropped a new single titled ‘Zamumtima’, which features an up-and-coming singer Eddie. The song, which came out on Monday was produced by Chuck Davis.
“I was just looking at reality, how complicated most relationships are, cheating and all so I had to express that in a song then came along ‘Zamumtima’,” she said.
