This article is just a load of hot air pumped inside a balloon of quasi- intellectual bombast just to give it a veneer of respectability. It is the usual stuff that the Mchachas and the Jeffreys spew out on the podium at political rallies during this time of electioneering. People are tired of hearing it. IT IS MERE PROPAGANDA. The author deliberately omits to discuss at length the massive corruption scandals that are a daily occurrence in the Mutharika administration. The author has the audacity to state that graft has been managed to such an extent that it is almost… Read more »

OK, honestly saying, the above article is both factual and not factual, in part, it is based on the opinion of the writer. Malawians must understand that while reducing inflation is desirable, in the Malawi context, it does not mean prices are not increasing. The prices of utilities have been increasing. The price of fuel has increased. Bus fares have increased. Simply pointing out the low inflation rate is deceiving those that cannot see. Then, there is hand clapping for roads and bridge constructions. This is what I am going to say. No one should be clapping hands for developments.… Read more »

Voters in Malawi will always listen to the lies knowing they are being sold lies. It started during Bakilis’ time. With Malawians, it’s not about the message but rather where one comes from. It’s that simple.

Be civil khwalala. Don’t show your ignorance here. This platform is for debating, not mouth fouling language. Keep those words and use them when you are at Juda bee. Let people argue with facts . The writer has put own his opinion and no foul language has been used. Just for your own information, a good road takes time to finish. The poor workmanship of the road is due to people like you, who want more roads to be constructed in a year. Thinking 🤔

The writer’s claims to objectivity are spurious. I hope that he/she will go through his/her dissertation weeding out its subjective and unsubstantiated claims with greater thoroughness than he/she exercised when editing this article.

We need a change. The guy is too old. Let the youth take up and lead the nation.

Truth, development of a nation does not comes with one person, or it is not measured by the age of the president, but the willingness of the people. The pull Down syndrome has to stop.. Having a younger or youthful president does not mean there will be development. If so Malawi would have been after getting independence. Just take a look at DRC , Kabila, was young, energetic, but look where the nation is. Check France, the president young and energetic but look what the people are doing. First Malawians should change their mindset. Joyce Banda , energetic woman, but… Read more »
