Lilongwe City council suspends another director over poor service
Lilongwe City Council has suspended director of engineering amid growing concerns of poor services provided by the council.
Lilongwe City Council publicist Tamara Chafunya confirmed the suspension of Julius Tsogolani.
“It has to do with poor service. His work ethics has put the council in great disrepute,” said Chafunya.
She said Tsogolani was suspended along director of Finance who was accused of under collections of revenue and illegal connections of power.
Sibande rejected the accusations in an interview, saying he was not personally involved as a person but maybe he took collective responsibility as head of department.
Chafunya said the council will institute a commission of inquiry to look into the two cases and come up with recommendations on whether the two will be fired or not.

If we have people in the likes of this of Tamara Chafunya in the roles of spokespersons for crucial institutions like Lilongwe City Assembly just because they were once on MBC TV, then we are in trouble as a nation. No wonder Lilongwe still remains a village and Malawi a poor nation
