Lilongwe elects female mayor MCP councillor Kaduya
Malawi Congress Party (MCP) councillor Juliana Kaduya, former deputy mayor, has been elected new mayor for Lilongwe City Council.
She won with 13 votes during a full council meeting held at Civic Offices in Lilongwe narrowly beating councillor Richard Banda of Kaliyeka Ward who got 12 votes.

Foreign investors must be wooed into constructing mega shop-tall buildings are a reality not a dream, the city streets need to be kept tidy at all times, transportation networks must be revitalized (electric train between cities must be reconsidered);these chinese people have potential to do so.
